Tree Care: Keep your tree healthy by putting the trunk in water as soon as you get home, and keeping the water filled at all times. The tree stand should hold one quart of water per inch of stem diameter. Most water is absorbed through the bark of the tree, so make sure to leave it intact. Keeping the tree away from heat sources, such as fireplaces and heaters will help it to last longer.

After the holidays, you can mulch the tree and spread the chips in your garden!
